I was born in a village in Norfolk, England, and later moved to a nearby town as an adult, where I married my husband. Together, we have three sons, three beautiful grandchildren, and two fur-baby granddaughters whom we adore.

Creativity has always been a significant part of my life, particularly in photography, textile art, embroidery, and crafting throughout my childhood and into adulthood.

Since I was a child, I have felt a strong desire to write. I even shared this aspiration with my husband when I was just twenty-three years old.

I vividly remember sitting alone in our garden one day, drawing pictures of birds and butterflies on an A4 piece of plain paper and writing about the wildlife that visited our garden to accompany my illustrations.

Watching the birds and butterflies sparked my imagination, and I often wondered what they were communicating with each other and what their daily lives entailed.

As a child, I found nature far more fascinating than people. It transported me to a magical place where my imagination could roam freely.

Even while observing the birds and butterflies, I would try to envision what they were singing in our pine tree, pondering what songs they might be sharing with their friends.

With a cartoonish imagination, my creative mind's eye continues to assist me today as I write my children's story books about Charlie Mouse, bringing him to life through my perspective while crafting his delightful adventures.
